James W. Northam
Jim Northam provides general management, information technology and business process outsourcing services to HSA Consulting’s clients. He is a proven business leader, with significant P&L responsibility and turnaround experience in both US and Europe. He has 35 years in senior management top-tier consulting experience (with IBM,Cap Gemini and PriceWaterhouseCoopers). Jim has provided business process improvement (including cost reduction, productivity and sales effectiveness), and IT outsourcing services to mainly Fortune 1,000 Corporate clients. He also provides interim business leadership/CEO or CIO services to our clients.
Previously, Jim a Partner with PriceWaterhouseCoopers Consulting, responsible for the global training of PwC Partners and Principals in key relationship handling. In addition, he was global lead consulting partner on one of PwC’s largest high-tech accounts, generating over $25 million annual consulting revenues. Prior to joining PwC, he was Vice President, CapGemini Consulting, responsible for their Telecommunications and Chemical Practices. Over a 7 year period, he generated $150 million fees for the firm. He was promoted to lead North America Sales and Marketing, and joined their Global senior management team.
Jim started his career with IBM spending nearly 20 years in a variety of branch and corporate positions. Initially he led their Louisville, KY office, supporting IBM’s largest retail relationship with BAT Industries. He was promoted to corporate, with responsibility for the divestiture of IBM’s typewriter and personal printer businesses. Jim was ultimately appointed Director, Global Consumer Packaged Goods, with responsibility for a $550 million business segment. The group developed integrated hardware and software solutions for IBM’s global retail & consumer goods clients which included K-mart, Sears, Dillards, P&G, and Phillip Morris. He also managed IBM’s alliance with retail data provider IRI.
